| Fauna watching can be a touching experience. To merge with nature, to become a part of its colors and sounds is one great way to get closer to this place. At Piedra Pintada you can watch three kinds of deer: Red, Chinese and Dame. Small hares and rabbits contrast with wild boars. During the month of May, and till mid April, the bellow of the red deer in heat shakes visitors. This love filled roar, and the clashing of antlers of stags fighting for a female, interrupt the silence that nature and watchers keep in secret complicity. This is the best time for watching red deer. On the other hand, December is the season for watching Chinese, while Dame has its rut in April.
